As mask mandates lift and COVID vaccinations become more readily available, we’re on our way to returning back to a normal world like it was before the coronavirus struck. That’s why we’re so proud that everyone in the company who is eligible for the vaccine has been vaccinated!
We celebrated this fact by gathering all of our employees together for the first time since early March 2020 by treating the team to a BBQ this past Friday June 18th. Everybody enjoyed the Smokin' Chicks Got Wood BBQ food truck that was onsite, along with refreshments and 2 cakes from Bischoff's Confectionery in Teaneck NJ.
The first cake said Thank You as a way to show our gratitude to our “essential” workers here at WASCO who kept us going throughout 2020 & early 2021 and made sure that all of our customers were fully stocked during COVID. We not only provided a fun reunion, but thousands of dollars in prizes to our employees ranging from $25 Maggiano’s Little Italy gift cards to $500 American Express gift cards.
The second cake said Welcome Back to represent our team coming back together while keeping COVID in mind since it’s not over, as much as we would like to think so. Not only are there still new cases daily, but the coronavirus has changed the way we view the best practices to control the spread of seasonal illnesses.
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is still one of the more commonly ordered things from WASCO and we predict it will continue to be as our society returns to normal. This includes the following:
- Face masks & face shields
- Gloves
- Hand sanitizer & dispensers
- Disinfectant spray & wipes for surfaces
- First aid kits
- Plastic coverings for seats, steering wheels & more
- Plastic barriers for counters
We look forward to continuing to serve our customers and ensure they stay safe as COVID is still a big part of how they operate on a daily basis!
